A small selection of art from Heather's younger years

My badger wood in the Spring where I watched my local sett for so many years!

My granny Esther was a wonderful influence for me and the walls of her house were covered from top to bottom with all of her art! Between her and my mother, who is also artistic, they both encouraged me along the way. Here is a Peacock butterfly my Gran painted years ago. I treasure her artwork as it is still a little bit of her, who still remains with me!

A quick watercolour done in my teenage years. I loved watching these birds feeding on the feeders in Winter.

My secret village hills which hide so many treasures, including my barn owl!

Sunderland Point - a special place in the North for my family, with amazing birdlife too!

Another painting from a long time ago when I was at school - a copy of Durer's famous painting. I totally love hares!

A charcoal on watercolour experiment to try to capture a wonderful Winter sky!

My chickens had to feature! I kept six Welsummer chickens when I was younger and loved sketching and drawing their funny characters! Hoping to offer you all some chicken cards to the collection soon!

Stunning Elephant Hawk Moth - can you see why it had to feature in the central position on my moth Christmas card? What a stunner! The beauty and range of moths that fly around outside in your garden at night is unbelievable and I feel very lucky that I was lent a moth trap over the last two years and have been able to see some of these fantastic insects, which inspired my Christmas card 2021!
