British Wildlife Photos

Here I will share with you some of the British wildlife I have been fortunate enough to discover over the last few years.

Purple Hairstreak - the silver that I search for in the tops of Oak trees in July and August

Burnished Brass moth caught in my trap this year - what you can't see is their amazing metallic shimmer. They are simply stunning and feature on my Christmas Card for this reason!

The White-Letter Hairstreak - one of my favourite occupations is searching for this butterfly in the Summer. The small colony near me is only just holding on. This year counted 10 total. Such beauties which need our help!

My lovely slow worms who live under a large sheet in the garden. Gorgeous legless lizards who are so welcome! Leave a sheet down to attract them, or even better a sheet of corrugated iron. Gently lift in Spring / Summer for some amazing sights if you are lucky!
